Review of Dodsworth (1936) by Joe L — 14 Jun 2009
A great movie from 1936 about a bored, rich, retired couple who, through mutual respect, forge a shaky agreement to see other people. the film is as amazingly truthful about the psychology of a couple who might make that decision, as it is about how they react to each others action's based on the agreement.
in the end, the film is a testament to love, and the shocking possibility that it can be transferred from one person to another.
