Review of DodgeBall: A True Underdog Story (2004) by Mason M — 19 Jul 2014
As drearily unfunny as Zoolander was joyously hilarious. There is one funny joke that isn't in the trailer. One. And even that joke isn't of the same kind of make as the sublime goofiness of Zoolander.
In the latter film, every time Ben Stiller said anything I was amused. In this one, he has to resort to sticking pizza down the front of some sort of exercise suit. When you're desperate enough to try to wring laughs from pizza stuck down clothes one knows the situation is dire.
Just a terrible failure of a comedy.
