Review of Doctor Zhivago (1965) by Bill R — 12 Mar 2009
This is epic well done. Chronicles Zhivago's love affair with the lovely Lara; a love that was meant to just not at this time or place it is occurring.
Zhivago is from high society but when the Russian revolution comes around his family must flee for they are the enemy. Intertwined in all this is Lara, an ethereal woman from the lower class, whom no man can deny. But her beauty is her plight. She is seen as seductress and therein her fall from grace. Lara comes to know Yuri [Sharif], who is enamored with her- he treats her with respect and dignity. A love affair ensues but not without problems.
