The day of the doctor forgets established cannon from New Who in favor of moffatts wibbily wobbily approach to who. The fan fair for classic fans was just enough to bring it from a 1 to a 2 star rating, but only just.

The premise that the doctor now decides he can save the time lords, despite the 10th doctor episode a few years back showing how the time lords became genocidal maniacs is just further proof that the writing and cannon needs addressing..
