Despite appearing once in Dr Who the Zygons have left a massive impact most likely due to the amazing makeup and costume for the Zygons. This strange alien design was also David Tennant's favourite, if there design wasn't cool enough they had the loch ness Monster as there pet and sent it down the Thames to attack London.
It's all wonderfully silly. Tom Baker is also his brilliant witty self, always calculating ways to outwit his alien opponents an throwing himself in danger. It's great that the Zygons have been confirmed to star in the 50th anniversary special.
