Review of Doctor Who: An Unearthly Child (1963) by Michael H — 11 Jun 2011
The very first story, and it still exists! This is what started a phenomenon. A character similar to a cross between James Bond and Sherlock Holmes starts off by whisking two humans back in time. The darkness seen in this story is evident in the acting and music used.
There is a sense of wonder and magic in the Doctor's time traveling machine. Not as impressive as the serial that follows, yet still a satisfying beginning to an epic show.
