While McGann was a very good doctor, the story was weak, and most episodes both the new and classic tv series' were much better.
That aside, I think that McGann was not given nearly enough time (i mean, it was shorter than many single stories (all 5+ parters)) from the very little Big Finish stuff I have heard, I think he has a lot of potential that should have been drawn on.
