Review of Doctor Strange (2016) by Getdarekm8 — 04 Nov 2016
As a fan of both franchises DC and Marvel, I like to keep an open mind (no pun intended) when it comes to watching MCU movies and DCEU ones as well. Going into this movie, I’m not very familiar with Dr.
Strange as a character so I went to see the movie with very low knowledge about the character. I came out of this movie surprised about how good it was, everything in this movie from start to finish is amazing.
The pacing is extremely well balanced, I didn’t feel a bit of boredom throughout the entire movie, the script writing was excellent and all the humor felt in place. The plot was very good and was explained using a very good story, it didn’t have any boring or uninteresting sub-plots that have no relevance in the movie.
The action sequences are very well done, don’t let me get started about how amazing the visuals were. Probably the only downside to this movie is the villain, it’s seems to be a reoccurring problem in the MCU.
The villain Kaecilius wasn’t really flushed out like all the other characters in the movie and his motivation was very unclear and was left unexplained throughout the course of the movie. To summarize it, Dr.
Strange is an amazing movie with very minimum downsides.
