Review of Doctor Strange (2016) by Movie M — 21 Jul 2017
"Doctor Strange" is another successful Marvel superhero movie that will captivate fans of the superhero universe. At some parts, the storyline did get a little jumbled, as it dealt with a lot of topics surrounding the universe that I feel some younger kids wouldn't understand, and with those being his only powers I feel as though younger audiences wouldn't enjoy it as much, however it never got too crazy complicated, and stayed as neat as it could.
Benedict Cumberbatch (Stephen Vincent Strange) did a great job as Doctor Strange, he took on the role and integrated himself into the superhero universe really well, he had both a serious and comedic side to him, a which is basically the case for every superhero in the Marvel universe.
I also liked how original this movie was, it was an origin story, but it wasn't something we've seen before from other superhero movies, it was unique and pretty refreshing to watch, especially since these superhero movies are starting to feel a little repetitive.
Marvel is currently on a long running hot streak, and "Doctor Strange" does a good job at not breaking that streak. Everyone will enjoy this movie one way or another, and even though its not the action packed cliche superhero movie that everyone loves, it's still worth watching if you're bored.
