Review of Doctor Strange (2016) by Jeremiah F — 03 May 2018
Doctor Stephen Strange may not be a trailblazer in terms of character arc, but Cumberbatch nails the role almost to perfection, though his accent fluctuates from time to time. The visuals are some of the best in the entire Marvel franchise, going completely Inception style at times, the magic is beautifully rendered as is Cumberbatch's Dormammu.
Mads Mikkelsen is great as the antagonist and Tilda Swinton is magnificent as the cold and mysterious Ancient One. The quips are definitely some of the best in any Marvel movie and thankfully not nearly as many.
Not perfect, but one of, if not the, best additions to the MCU.
