[left]AKA [i]Hypnotic [/i]for Australian viewers, this movie was a big letdown. Although it has some great acting (Goran Visnjic, Miranda Otto) and some interesting ideas carried out with some amazing moments of cinematography, the script is what really brings [i]Close Your Eyes[/i] down.[/left].

[left]The beginning of the film is taut and can keep the viewers attention, but soon afterwards it goes downhill. Shirley Henderson was extremely wrong for this role, and her acting brought a melodramatic edge to the movie.[/left].

[left][i]Johnny English - :rotten: 3/10[/i][/left].

[left]Some amusing moments, but ultimately this film is a flop. [/left].

[left]Natalie Imbruglia and John Malkovich seemed miscast, and Rowan Atkinson just plods along throughout the entire movie, half of the time incoherant.[/left].

[left]The script is annoyingly predictable and unfunny, as are the stars.[/left].

[left][i]Strictly Ballroom - :fresh: 7/10[/i][/left].

[left]Another fantastic film from Baz Luhrmann, with great acting, casting, cinematography, music, and scripts- almost everything is fresh and spectacular. While really only a boy-meets-girl, ugly-duckling-to-swan kind of story, it is told with such ferocity that it is able to be watched again and again. Some characters (especially Tara Morice's) seem to be a caricature, but near the end of the movie this slowly changes.[/left].
