Review of Dobermann (1997) by Jesse W — 24 Feb 2008
This is such a lame cliche way of describing something but Dobermann really is a coked ADD offspring of Killing Zoe and Natural Born Killers. I watched this about 5-8 years too late but it is still ri-goddamn-diculous.
There isn't much in the way of plot and the subtitles on my Tartan release were barely noticeable at times, but the energy and fun are at full volume. The weapons are awesome although there it would have been fun if there were more.
The shootout scene in the club is so loony. It's fun to see Vincent Cassel, Monica Bellucci and Tcheky Karyo in less serious roles. As a viewer this is really just an over the top, visually entertaining extreme cops n' robbers action film.
I especially like the facial scraping by way of speeding down the road with your face to the tar! In some circles one would say BROOTAL.
