Dead or Alive is going to go down as the guiltiest of guilty pleasures for me. One of the best bad movies out there! A real shut-off-your-brain flick. It was very highly entertaining throughout and overall I had a whole lot of fun with it.
Yeah, the story is corny and predictable. The acting and dialogue is cheesy. So why did I really like it? Simply because it is highly entertaining. I haven't played the video games so I can't compare this film to them, but based on watching this movie I know it's definitely a video game series I'd enjoy playing.
While most of this movie is cheesy, the fight scenes are great and pretty much steal the show here. They were well choreographed and just a blast to watch. Plus, this film also features really hot women in this as well.
What more could you ask for? You know, this isn't a great movie at all, but I accept it for what it is. Just a pure B-movie to its core.
