Review of Do You Believe? (2015) by Jason D — 23 Mar 2015
Viewing this movie first as a Christian man and an evangelist and street preacher, this movie really had a strong message and the point of faith without works is dead was brought through clearly. As a movie I though this one was much better than "Left Behind", "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas", and even "God's not Dead".
There were quite a few accomplished actors in this movie that gave good performances but the show belonged to the little girl that played the character Lily. The movie did do an excellent job in making you care and the characters and getting it's message across.
I know nothing of the director, Jonathan Gunn. I do however, feel he tried to juggle far too many storylines in this movie that it just kept cutting from story to story to story making it hard to follow.
He did do a decent job of bringing them all together at the end but during the movie it seemed crowded. For the most part it did what it was supposed to do and the target audience for this film is going to really like it.
I do not necessarily believe it needed a theatrical release but Christians will get out to see this. The Theatre I was in was packed and everyone enjoyed "Do You Believe?".
