Review of Do the Right Thing (1997) by Brett G — 22 Jan 2010
This is great! A peer into the heart of a small Brooklyn neighborhood where racial tension seems to spill over into a lot of hasty, heat of the moment decisions that affect everyone involved.
Spike Lee puts his signature all over this, right down to the main character. I love the camera work, particularly with the asides that some of the main character's use to vent their frustrations.
The intro is pretty original as well.
