Review of Do the Right Thing (1997) by Chris J — 04 Oct 2010
The final word on racism is a lively, beautifully shot masterpiece with complex characters all coming to a head on the hottest day of the year in a Brooklyn neighborhood. The film is fueled with a kinetic energy and Public Enemy's instant classic "Fight the Power".
Funny, smart, technically impressive: One of the best films of the 80's and certainly one of (if not its single most) important.
