Review of Do the Right Thing (1989) by Allison K — 15 Sep 2014
This is the first film I've seen that's caught me off guard. It starts as a movie where each scene can stand on its own, and it shifted perspectives frequently between the different racial groups.
I was not used to something like that, but I enjoyed it. Once the climax of the movie came screaming in, there was a big "a-ha!" moment for me. Everything clicked, and it tied this glorious manifesto against racism perfectly.
