Review of Do the Right Thing (1989) by Carlos R — 16 Sep 2010
The story-telling is so original and great, the scenes are all greatly put together, every scene had good dialogues and even some funny moments. It's deep, it's moving, it's intense and it's realistic.
An extraordinary film that everyone (even the ignorant people) should see, because it's a social view of this world in every way, and Spike Lee did it in an extraordinary way. The final 30 minutes are some of the greatest minutes I've ever seen in a film, without any doubt.
One of the greatest films of the 80's, and defintively the best of all these "black films"; this one is even better that Boyz n the Hood, which is another masterpiece.
