Review of Do the Right Thing (1989) by Alex K — 17 Aug 2017
Very unique film about racial tensions in Brooklyn between blacks and every other race in the neighborhood. This is definitely a Spike Lee Joint as seen from the casting, to the soundtrack, and everything in between.
I'm just surprised it was not nominated for another Oscar or two. This is probably Lee's best film to date, and is definitely a compelling statement on prejudice, ethnicity, and all the effects it has on populations in America.
