I just saw Spike Lee's Do the Right Thing. That thing is so over the top waaaayyy OVERRATED! And at the end when the police kill the guy named Radio, it's like Spike wants to make a point about racism but in such an unjust way.
GEEEZZZ the black guy went into someone's business and shit all over the owner (Italian guy) and then tried to KILL him!!! If the police had not come, the Italian guy would've been KILLED! DEAD!!! No more breathing!!! KILLED by the guy named Radio.
I'm not saying he got what he deserved, but the guy was asking for it!!!! My God, nobody sees this? He even fought the police, he wasn't going to give up! The guy goes into an Italian Pizza Place and demands that they put some black people pictures on the Wall of Fame there.
It's an Italian Place!!!! If it would've been an African American place I bet there wouldn't be any white people pictures on that wall!!! Yeah, the Italian guy can do whatever the fuck he wants in HIS place! And the black guy wouldn't shut up or turn the music down in an establishment that WASN'T HIS.
The most unbelievable thing is that HE BECOMES THE VICTIM!!!! Poor guy that just a minute ago was strangling someone and killing him. I still don't understand what so many people see in this picture.
I mean these characters are CARTOONISH and so foolish. Not that in real life people aren't like that. I mean, I can be foolish a lot of the time. Still, a way overrated film. Blah. Danny Aiello puts some seriousness in this movie.
He's the only one who doesn't look cartoonish and foolish. This is more of a comedy than a drama, and even if this was a comedy it wouldn't even be funny.
