Review of Do Revenge (2022) by Mauro_Lanari — 15 Oct 2022
(Mauro Lanari).
"Fight Club" at the time of today's high school. Fincher's film is openly quoted. I don't understand what this one has to do with Godard, equally mentioned, but I can recognize when much of the plot is Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train" [1951] recontextualized in a teen movie. The era of "Animal House" (Landis 1978) is farther away than ever, this is meant to be a phenomenology of zoomers (someone wrote: "The 'Thelma & Louise' of Generation Z"). Unexpectedly positive (or hasty?) ending.
