Tarantino displayed little, if any restraint at all while filming this movie. It is ridiculously long and at times it is way over done. Some of the action scenes are overly obnoxious and some of the other scenes are of such a serious and delicate matter (brutal slave scenes) to tamper with.
The outstanding performances by Dicaprio and Cristoph Waltz help keep this movie so entertaining.
