Review of Django Unchained (2012) by Augustine H — 21 Sep 2014
Although the movie is less daring than his previous work "Inglorious Basterds", the film is of more subtlety and positivity. The notorious offense it holds sounds more like a pungent castigation of slavery to me.
The revenge at the end is of great satisfaction, particularly we see the destiny of the most hateful villain, Samuel L.Jackson. Leonardo DiCarpio has tried hard to alter his image, but I can understand his Oscar snub as Christoph Waltz is one again the master here, particularly Waltz's characters is of more affinity this time.
