Review of Django Unchained (2012) by Samuel H — 13 Jan 2015
By no means QT's best film, Django is still an excellent movie. In typical Tarantino fashion we are dragged along in a hilariously brutal and bloody plot. Jamie Fox shines as Django and the rest of the cast isn't half bad either.
We even get a cameo from Quentin himself towards the end of the movie. It is interesting seeing QT introduce a character who we can all so easily agree with and support his actions. Unlike prior QT movies, the viewer has no trouble condemning slave owners, even if you think Django's methods are over the top.
Django Unchained is an excellent movie for anyone who enjoys Quentin Tarantino's style.
