Review of Django Unchained (2012) by Orunleon — 21 Aug 2015
Performances by DiCaprio and Jackson as the two main antagonists, alongside Waltz as the ever so jolly man with a plan creates a lot of tight tension in many scenes which eventually leads to a big payoff in the form of lots of exaggerated blood and gore.
In typical Tarantino style, his stories turn the tables on many stereotypes and with Django Unchained, a slave-turned-bounty-hunter's journey, one cannot help but become overjoyed when Django with a silent D emerges victorious after so many previous hardships.
Tarantino has a real knack for making beautiful looking and aesthetically pleasing to the eye type films, and this is no exception.
