Review of Django Unchained (2012) by Daniel G — 15 Feb 2016
Not entirely a fan of westerns, but I guess this doesn't count as a real western either. It has Tarantino's classic over the top violence, but it's 'justified' by adding completely despicable characters.
In "Inglorious Basterds", Tarantino & Christoph Waltz make you hate the germans, but you could say they cleaned their name on this film because now Waltz's character "Dr. Shultz" is actually the most likeable character in the movie.
Just a few details are not to like, for example I wouldn't have included hip-hop tracks for this western movie, but the less serious you take this movie, the better.
