Review of Django Unchained (2012) by Zetune S — 10 Mar 2016
Tarantino had the chance to make this a bestselling story of a black slave turning into a total 'bad-ass' and, sadly, he took it. I expected a real hero in Django, most of all, a noble man. What we got is an egoistic douchebag who enjoys getting revenge, nothing more.
In the end I had more sympathy towards the slavemasters than bloody Django. However it's still pretty entertaining, and if you're fine with immoral, unrealistic, over-the-top spaghetti westerns, then you're gonna have a great time.
