Review of Django (1966) by Mark G — 23 Sep 2007
Very original Spaghetti Western that spawned a host of imitators. The tale involves a cowboy who drags a coffin behind him filled with an arsenal of weapons and is seeking vengeance on a colonial and his soldiers who killed his wife.
Humorous, bloody, and simple this 1966 film still stands up today. Its influence can be seen in films by directors Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez.
