Review of Django (1966) by John S — 12 Aug 2012
With the typical 60's pop score, crazy gunfights, and ice cold cool style, Django is pure unfiltered spaghetti western goodness. Although, the English dubbed version doesn't do the film justice, so it's best to find the original Italian version.
There's really nothing about the film that's particularly revolutionary but it is just good ol' fashioned euro-western madness as usual. Django is a pretty badass character and even though he may not be as likable as The Man With No Name or even as multifaceted, he's still a really awesome character.
Django is filled with memorable iconic scenes, and it is very easy to understand and appreciate the influence the name "Django" has brought to the genre.
