Review of Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing (2006) by Willis H — 16 Nov 2008
Not a fan of the Dixie Chicks in the slightest bit, but this was an excellent documentary. Interesting for any one who wants to see into the social ramifications of the backlash against their stance and the state of free speech in America today, and even a little bit into the music industry.
The Chicks are good entertainers and funny in this movie, and they are just good people you connect with. Love the appearances of Chad Smith and Rick Rubin, made me wish they were in it more!
