Review of Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002) by Jonathan F — 29 Feb 2008
This is a movie about a group of Southern belles who all think that they're the brightest personality in the room, when really they're annoying alcoholics. They think everything they say is funny and, in some weird way profound -- then they follow it up with "Get me another drink, sist-a.
.." Everything about them is pretentious, even their names -- Vivi, Teensy, Neci and Caro? Give me a break. All these women want to do is wear big hats and get drunk. There's nothing to like about them.
This movie is horrible.
