Review of Divergent (2014) by Grant H — 13 Jan 2015
Surprisingly decent movie. While Divergent feels a little too much like a combination of The Hunger Games and George Orwell's 1984, what makes it enjoyable is the action and performances. If the film wasn't filled with as many clichà (C)s as it does, it would've been a lot better.
But the visual effects are good, and the performances strong, especially Woodley, Elgort and Judd.
