Review of Divergent (2014) by Duncan1964 — 23 Mar 2015
Based on a series of young adult novels this dystopian future story has the citizens of Chicago walled in and divided into factions, depending on personality, to preserve peace. Quite why everyone can only have one personality trait is never made very clear, which makes their fight for survival hard to care about.
A Divergent is someone with all traits and for some reason the governing forces see this as a threat, but again 'why' is never a a question the film really seems to want to answer.
