Review of Disturbing Behavior (1998) by Danny C — 14 Sep 2010
I havn't seen this in a long time but it was a good one growing up. The story revolves around new guy Steve who shows up to his new high school and makes a few friends one of them being Rachel (Katie Holmes). Immediately Steve is warned about the Blue Ribbons, which are certain depressed and unruly students forced to participate in a behavior study. After the study though these once angry and outcasted teens are now perfect jocks and athletes, agressive and almost robot-like. After Steve and Rachel's buddy Gavin turns into a Blue Ribbon, they begin to discover the school's secret plan to complete the study on every student, forcing them to their robotic alien ways.
It was always one of my favorites growing up because of a few reasons. Outcasted teens can always identify with movies like this, the soundtrack is awesome and this was made before Katie Holmes got all weird. So she was mildly hot in this one. I'm always up for a good alien-robot takeover and correct me if I'm wrong, but this may be the only film in that genre. It's odd, but easy to follow along and pretty damn entertaining.
