Review of Disturbia (2007) by Buddy A — 07 Sep 2012
Disturbia is a suprisingly good movie. The script is basically an homage to Alfred Hitchcok's real window, but with a younger cast. Fortunately this young cast provides the somewhat cliched script with a different perspective, making this film a worthwile venture into familiar territory.
Shia Labeouf delivers a first rate performance in his first major studio film.; but the show is stolen by veteran character actor David Morse who plays Labeouf's neighbor who may or may not be a serial murderer.
A solid film, with solid direction and solid performances.
