Review of District B13 (2004) by Alex V — 13 Aug 2009
2.2/10.
Just because a generic action movie is from France doesn't make it any less generic. The only real difference is that now you get to listen to some horrible dubbing while you wait for it to end. The narrative is predictably lacking and the action isn't nearly good enough to make up for it. Whatever skills these people possess are wasted by the barrage of bad editing. The sleepy soundtrack doesn't help matters either. If it's supposed to make the movie feel more "ghetto" then they've succeeded. They've also succeeded into forcing it's audience into a coma during a climatic fight scene. I guess it could have been worse. They could have cast a wrestler as the lead, or something...
