Review of District B13 (2004) by Alexandre P — 27 Jan 2010
Flimsy French actioner built around parkour stuntwork. Generally looks nice, and the action although pretty far fetched, comes over quite gritty. The almost post- apocalyptic looking Paris setting is good and the fights are shot with alot of style.
Saying that, there's very little story, and when we get to the end after some quite well padded out sequences, it grinds to a halt rather too quickly underlining that all that entertainment for the past hour and a half, actually hasn't got that much to it.
All the suspense that could have been built on ends up wasted. Parkour porn.
