Intensely Filmed and Thoroughly acted, District 9 succeeds in all aspects. It has excellent cinematography that doesn't overdo the found footage and shaky cam technique, which adds to the brilliance of this film.
It's violence is absurd, but necessary to show the horrors of District 9. Blomkamp does an excellent job of humanizing the very life-like prawns, while at the same time giving you a really dark feeling inside.
This inner conflict gives the viewers more than enough incentive to watch this film.
