Review of District 9 (2009) by William L — 19 May 2014
A fast, brutal, bloody, and wholy original sci-fi actionier. There's a reason this film was nominated for best picture, it's not just a good action movie, it's a well rounded, well made drama with good performances all around.
It's quite violent and disgustingly gruesome at times but it's a great story of segregation and racisim that speaks to modern times through a viberant alternate sci-fi reality. SEE IT!!
