If I could describe this movie in one word it would be UNORIGINAL. Another would be TEDIOUS, or maybe even NAIVE, because the first thing the human race would do when they discover an alien race is enslave them. Not try to communicate, just enslave them. With it's annoyingly pretentious soundtrack and false philosophical meanings, District 9 is just dull. Not necessarily a bad film, just DULL.
