Review of District 9 (2009) by Tom L — 24 Oct 2015
District 9 is such an awesome scifi thriller, turning the tables on humans as the bad guy, and prawns, the aliens, as the victims of apartheid like racism, essentially. set in an alternate 1985 history, we watch our protagonist surprisingly turn more humane, as he becomes less human.
Nominated for four Oscars including best picture in 2009, this is a movie that holds up, and is worth a rewatch. Currently up and free on Crackle, floats over to the movie channels from time to time.
