Review of District 9 (2009) by Andrew S — 27 Feb 2015

I didn't want to see this movie when it first came out as I'm just not a fan of this faux-documentary type if filming and the overall premise (Aliens stranded on Earth living as refugees) just not appealing.

I have to say though that now I have watched it, it was very enjoyable; the faux-documentary bits are annoying, but these are only at the beginning and a little at the end of the movie, the rest of it was very well made and acted, with some terrific action scenes in the final third of it.
