Shot with a breathless efficiency by Mean Spirit director Patrick Alessandrin, this is a vibrant action movie that generally improves on the original, even if there's nothing to match that movie's early chase sequence.
Unlike most of this yearâ??s big movies, another sequel would be entirely welcome.
