Review of District 13: Ultimatum (2009) by Sahil U — 13 Mar 2010
A fast paced action movie, with a french hip hop twinge. David Belle, and Cyril Raffaelli as usual are nothing short of spectacular urban gymnast. The story continues from part 1, with a peaceful divide between the wealthy and not so wealthy (in District 13), however one of the President's advisers has other plans.
Where the film falls short is on the last film's strength, the fluidity of action sequences and Parkour. This film tries to style up the ghetto way, and loses on the fluidity of action seen in the 1st movie.
The story was tight, editing was good, acting was average (but who cares with the action sequences the two protagonist are capable of ). Its a nice watch, not as good as the first part, but definitely a watch if you are an action movie aficionado.
