Review of District 13: Ultimatum (2009) by Leane E — 28 Apr 2010

Unlike the original, sequel takes a little time to build it's story which works both for and against it. Fortunately it also reunites the heros from the first flick and pits them against a conspiracy within the government that takes jabs at the Bush Administrations actions in Iraq.

While this film lacks the first film's goofy fun, there is still plenty of the energetic action and stunts that made the first film entertaining. Considering the more serious tone and story, sequel is, overall, not bad and the two leads still have a great chemistry together.
