Review of Distance (2001) by Thomas H — 11 Feb 2008
Great take on people from the 'other side' of a tragedy, uneasy atmosphere and great acting, shot throughout as some 'god's eye view with a handheld camera', leaving the dialogues and most of all, the pauses and silences do all the work.
Clever editing, giving background infos little by little, and if it's as I think, shot with available light (most of it) then it has to be some of the greatest cinematography work ever.
