Review of Disclosure (1994) by Andrew S — 29 Jun 2009
This is worth seeing once. It isn't a great thriller, but it keeps you watching. (Spoiler alert..) What I liked about it most, was the presence of many really strong female roles. A sexy, abusive, power-hungry seductress; a high powered, media savvy lawyer; a highly intelligent, cunning, no-nonsense workplace savvy manager; a smart engineer; and a loyal, supportive, yet not-naive wife.
The women really steal the show, and successfully defy a number of stereotypes that persist in film to this day. More big roles for strong women in fiction in general is something I'd love to see.
