Review of Dirty Work (1998) by Ray D — 07 Aug 2009
I actually paid to see this in theaters in 1998 when it came out (I'm not sure why, don't judge me). Directed by Bob Saget, it's one of the 'random awful stuff happening to people who do terrible things' comedies that seem to have transferred themselves mostly to Straight-to-DVD productions these days.
The movie itself? Uh, the most memorable thing in it is Chris Farley yelling about his nose being bitten off by a prostitute in Saigon (!!??). Sadly, the bulk of the film doesn't manage to reach such comical heights, and instead costs on the smug grin of Mr.
McDonald and the easy charisma of Mr. Lange. Hardcore fans of Gary Coleman will likely see it irregardless, just so they can say that they have.
