This movie actually has something to say if anyone would care to listen. If the likes of Superbad can be raised to the level of art then Dirty Love is sublime. The character of Rebecca is ubiquitous in the movies but we never get to hear what she has to say or see her perspective until now.
This is the kind of Hollywood insider satire I like. The porn style quality of the acting only adds to the hilarity. McCarthy hits the nail on the head when it comes to showing what it is like to get hit on and the kind of mistakes a girl can make.
In one sense or another I have been on every one of those dates. And well the grocery store scene...that should go down in history.
