Review of Dirty Harry (1971) by Ken S — 18 May 2012
As gritty cop dramas go, "Dirty Harry" is among the best there is. Clint Eastwood, who had already created one great character in cinema (the Man with No Name), brings the gruff, angry, doesn't care at all for a suspect's rights.
.."Dirty" Harry Callahan. It is a solid movie, and Andy Robinson is FANTASTIC as Scorpio. I loved him in Deep Space Nine as Garak, but I wanted Dirty Harry to kill him by the end of this movie (and I don't believe in the death penalty in real life!).
..that is some effective acting. This is an entertaining and classic cop drama.
